In looking at the resale points for OKW, I have seen a few with an odd number of pts (232). How would someone get 232?

Still in the learning phase! Thanks:)

You can purchase any amount of points, you don't have to do multiples of 5 or 10. When I was purchasing an add-on to my original purchase, I figured out how many points I would need for my stay plus a few more as a cushion....I ended up with an add-on that was 139 points. That's how you'll hit on those odd number deals -- they were probably trying to buy exactly what they needed for a stay.

I own a 232 point contract that I bought resale. My assumption was that they bought exactly enough for a 2 BR for a week in Choice season at OKW. Frankly, I think that's a little short sighted, to buy exactly the number of points you need. I'd always buy a few more unless you were figuring a whole week Magic or better. When DVC changed the points structure the last time, an Adventure 2 BR went up 29 points for a week and a studio 11 points. Of course there were other changes to even out but didn't help those that had planned very closely. There were a lot of unhappy people.

We bought a contract once for 111 points. Too weird. It was all the points they had left in our use year at the time.

I have 2 odd number contracts. The 1st is 164 at OKW which equals 6 nights magic season in a 1br. The second is 64 at BWV which equals a preferred studio for Fri and Sat during Magic season. That was the plan but we have never used our points in this way, preferring 2br units in the off season. We are considering a 28 point add-on at BCV which equals 2 weekday nights in a studio during magic season. If DVC does a point adjustment, thats the way it goes but since we go off-season and usually do Sun-Thurs, we have plenty of buffer....spruce
