OKW points vs. SSR points. Why such a difference?

Actually, to be really stingy, I hope transportation doesen't improve! We always drive and never use the transportation, so if that is what keeps people away, it'll be easier for us to book there!

Same exactly with us. We rent a car, stop on the way and buy food, and drive to all the parks from the OKW. I would like to try the bus, but my husband has this fear of being without a car thing. We did have a problem finding OKW the first time though. There really isn ot a lot of signage, is there? Maybe that's a good thing.

OKW is a great value.... big rooms, low points, low dues, low initial purchase costs.

I think another great value is the second onsite resort - BWVs....standard views that aren't much more than the rooms at OKW, and guarenteed BW View rooms that give you what most people believe to be one of the best views DVC offers, for the same points you could spend to look over the dumpster at VWL, BCVs (or another part of BWVs). All with the Epcot area location.

BCVs is a great value, too - as only staying there gives you access to SAB within the DVC system.

VWL is a great value - for those that enjoy the theming and access to the MK the value can't be beat.

SSR has lower points than BWV (preferred), VWL and BCVs, great access to DTD and lovely views of DTD fireworks, anticipated lower dues, and some high quality fixtures in the units (darn nice counter tops and furniture) making it a great value as well.

So decide what you value....because all the resorts can be a good value depending what your priorities are.
