Wouldn't you know it, just after I commit $3000 to another project my name comes up on the list for April use year.

Oh well, back on the list I go, since I refuse to borrow the money for it.

So sorry, but you probably made someone else very happy!:)

Sorry it didn't work out this time. I'm sure that was frustrating. But I'm sure your name will pop-up again.

It is not a complete negative, as much of the money is going to send my daughter to Australia on a school sponsored trip.

I am sure those points will be put to good use by someone pretty soon.

Congratulations to your DD! An investment in her future is most important now anyway! You can always add on points later.

Your daughter will love the experience, my son went to Australia with Student Ambassadors, I'm not exactly sure of the name, years ago, and had a great time.

You'll have other chances to add on, I'm sure!

Just wondering--
Were you on the MS wait list, or one of the resale companies? We just put in for OKW Feb UY wait list-- wondering how long we can expect to be there-- thanks

same sort of question as above--and a little more--Am I correct in that if you have any amount of point contract at OKW then you can use the 11 month window even if you are using points from another contract (SSR) for the bulk of your trip?? Just a thought...wonder if I could get a really small add on for OKW and then ensure that I get an OKW GV when I need it!!

No, you can only use pts from that resort at the 11 month mark. So if you own 100 OKW pts and your total reservation is 200 pts, at the 11 month mark you can only book for whatever you have enough pts for. If the villa was say 25 pts per night you could book 4 nights, if you need 7 nights you would have to book those 3 nights at whichever other resort you had pts at and then transfer it over, if available at 7 months.
Other than possibly a GV at certain times of the year, I doubt you will have any problems transferring a reservation at 7 months.
One thing to keep in mind, OKW is the lowest pts for villas, so when you transfer the reservation over that was booked at another DVC resort, you will need less pts. This can work out to your advantage in that you can gain an extra night with the saved pts! However, if it is not enough pts or you can not add another night for whatever reason, you must also keep in mind banking window time limits, if you would need to bank the saved pts.
Good luck!
