Hey Doc, you were there the same time we were! What building were you in? We were in 5221 this trip. I was surprised to have no bus noise, since the bus turns around in that parking area for South Point.

Did you go to the Jan. 14 member's update? I was there! I saw NO green ribbons all 10 days we were there. I wore mine faithfully too!:(

We were in 3121- across from the tennis court at Turtle Pond.

South Point is a great area with little noise in most villas. Glad your's was quiet! :)

We did attend the update. I was the one who got the caps for having the most points and for knowing the ending date for DVC. :) That meeting was very well attended! I had on my DIS shirt, but no green ribbon that morning.

We walked to DD each morning and did a little exploring at the SSR site. I'll try to get those pics up later. Not much to see yet, except a lot of heavy equipment.

Thanks for sharing, wish we were there. Oh well have to wait till DEC.

Thanks for the pics - I have YET to catch those darn otters!! :)

I'm going to make it my mission in February!!

great pics.....but I still think my advcice i gave to people abouit shuttle launches is still valid.....just go out on your balcony, take a cigarrette lighter. Light it at your waist and slowly move it up past your face. Then you can see what it actually looks like from disney:smooth: :smooth:

You know, I thought that might be you!!! It even occored to me that day, but I didn't get to see your face because I was directly behind you!

Thanks Doc for posting those great pictures....We stayed in building 31 our very first trip. I really liked that building alot. I am so thankful to have been able to meet you a few years back at our little DIS meet at the flagpole. I love to be able to put faces with the people on the DIS. Thanks again.....for ALL you do to make thise site SO great!:bounce:

Great pics....thanks Doc!!!! And that shuttle launch - WOW!

Thanks for the pics Doc. I only have one question. Don't you ever stay home?

hey doc and diane .. I was there too.. just being the quiet one.. no lines at all ...dave

Dis shirt - this site sells them?

Where do I find one?

Great Pictures!!!

It was nice meeting you at the Dec meet.

If I am correct the picture in this post is of the columbia launch on the 16th of january....I thought it kind of sobering, and thought this should be bumped up. little did we all know this picture would be in a way historical...I must say that my earlier post on this subject seems trivial at best....just thought I would share this with people.
