OKW offer in RORF.... biting nails!

I can't thank you all enough! I've read just about every thread on this site in my research of DVC - and you all helped my DH and I decide to buy Resale. We made an offer last week - 100 pts OKW - it went to ROFR Wednesday. Agent is sure it will pass - but I just wish we didn't have to wait! We'd like to go to WDW from 9/27 - 10/03 on points, so the sooner this all closes the better! I'm sweating over whether it will close early enough for us to actually get a room at any of the 5 WDW DVC's. Anyway - This is all very new to us - no timeshare history, and in fact - never seen a DVC! Thanks again, and send some Pixie Dust our way!!!

Welcome to the Dis-Boards. If your agent is sure, you can be pretty sure too. I haven't heard of any OKW contracts (or any others for that matter) get taken by ROFR of late.

Welcome and hope everything works out for you. From my recent experience and others on this board, it takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to close so you're going to be cutting it close to your planned trip. However, do stress the urgency to your agent as well as the closing company and they just might be able to expedite their process just a tiny bit.

I don't know how much you offered, but I just passed ROFR 2 weeks ago at OKW for $70/pt if that helps. We bought 220 pts with all 2004 points available. I split the 2004 dues with the seller and I paid closing. It passed ROFR in about 1 1/2 weeks.
