Hi All Disney Lovers

I am leaving in 3 days for a girls only trip and am staying in OKW. The resort looks beautiful and can't wait to fly out of the hectic life of DC and into the tropical resort of OKW. Would love to hear about the resort from those who have stayed.

Hey, neighbor! I live in Occoquan and envy your vacation with the girls.
OKW is so beautiful and peaceful and BIG. You can walk to SSR and DTD
by way of a "jog path" at the far end past Turtle Pond. Olivia's has great
breakfast and the mimosas are wnderful. You can rent DVD's at the Community
Hall if you just want to stay in one night. In my humble opinion there is nothing
wrong with this resort. It actually makes you feel you're in Florida! It's
absolutely gorgeous and relaxing and you will have a great time. There is also
a drink at the "Gurgling Suitcase" that folks just love. I've never had it myself
but the name as "Turtle" in it. I'm sure someone else will know. From what
I've heard, it's a "don't miss". Enjoy!

We stayed there March 29th to April 2nd and enjoyed it very much. We were looking for a nice quiet relaxing time and that is exactly what we got. The room was immaculate, Olivia's breakfast was fantastic, the quiet pool was just what the doctor ordered, all around fantastic time.

OKW is the best kept secret of Disney resorts. You will love it and may find it hard to pry yourself away from all the peace and relaxation to go to the parks. It is beautiful, lush and tranquil, but still manages to be Disney fun at the same time. Have a fantastic time!

Ditto. Plus, OKW has one of the BEST restaurants on property - Olivia's. You & the girls should treat yourself to a relaxing lunch on the terrace at Olivia's and have a strawberry daiquiri for me .

OKW is our choice whenever we go down. It is peaceful and accomidating. If your using the Disney transportation, there's never a problem for buses (even when the parks close). The Gurgiling Suitcase is great for poolside drinks .....I hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us do.

Have a wonderful time! We will be there in about 6 weeks and I cannot wait! OKW is a lovely resort and I think you will be pleased. The rooms are very spacious and the atmosphere is very laid-back - which I love! Olivia's is a great place and one of our favorites. Use the boat transport to head over to DTD for shopping/noshing instead of the bus. It is a nice change and very relaxing. We favor the quiet pools because they are usually uncrowded and relaxing. Enjoy!

We will be going back to OKW for our 4th visit later this summer. I am so excited about it. We are DVC members and enjoy going to different resorts to mix it up a bit, but we are SOOO looking forward to OKW. It has really grown on me. We enjoy the boat to DTD. Also, just LOVE the huge rooms. Whenever we go to the other DVC resorts, it's a little shock at first because the room isn't as spacious as OKW. I really really love just parking right in front of our resort door. We enjoy the large balconies and often have a nice cocktail on the balcony while watching the golfers go by (in a golf view room).

You all have me sooooooooo excited that I chose OKW. We are definitely making time for the Gurgiling Suitcase and some poolside relaxation and breakfast at Olivia's sounds like a must. I am glad to hear the rooms are to everyone's liking. YAY, 3 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will love it. I went with girlfriends in Sept 07 and we loved it so much we're going back in Oct 08. Our absolute favorite thing to do was sit and have happy hour on our balcony watching the golfers go by. It was so relaxing. And bell services is so accommodating at OKW. One day we just missed the bus (we were going to Boardwalk so we were going to have to do the disney- bus-shuffle). One of the bell services guys heard us throwing out different ways for us to get to Boardwalk and said "we're not busy at all, I'll drive you over to where you are going". It made our day!

I have already put in a request to have a room near the Hospitality House but should i reiterate that when I get there? Or is any room location great?
