I thought I remembered at some point, they were playing alot of Buffet music at OKW. Is that still the case or have they changed it and if so, what kind? Thanks all

Hi Kim,

I remember a thread about this when I first started on the Dis... I believe it may still be the same. I'll let you know in about 45 days. It's pretty much the same type of summer/beach music. With a ton of Buffet included.

We were just there and spent time around the pool. I don't recall the music being JB, but for the life of me I can't think of what they were playing-maybe nothing 'cause I know for sure the speakers by the spa were off.

It's just an island theme with Buffet, Bob Marley, Belafonte, etc. It's not a "ton" of Buffett but he's in there. Have to "sneak" off property to City Walk for the Buffett fix.

Thanks all for the responses. Hey Mac, have you seen my van around lately I ALWAYS sneak "off property" Its become one of the highlights of my trip. We are doing a spur of the moment trip on October and I was listening to him this am thinking about OKW and HOPING they play alot of his music while I'm lounging by the pool Thanks again all, Kim

For awhile they were playing music from the 30's and 40's (swing, big band, etc.) That's what they were playing when I was there in October 2002. I guess they were going more for the "Old" part than the "Key West" part.

Ohmigod, I am so food-oriented, I thought you meant "buffet" as in "buff-ay" as in FOOD... I was thinking "Did they open a buffet at OKW?" Wonder why I am chubby?

I've yet to be able to just lounge around and listen at the pool. We always have somewhere else to go since we do lots of weekend trips and are fixing to do our first week trip with kids even next month and thats to BCV. I usually only hear it in line in the lobby or when we go to Olivia's which we do at least once per trip no matter where we stay, lunch for shrimp fritters and citrus coolers after arrival is sort of our tradition.
