OKW member at BWV

Just back from week at BWV. Had fun, great resort, nice change from OKW (even though my heart belongs to OKW).

I don't want this to be a "my resort is better than yours" thread but just wanted to say it's fun to venture from your home resort now and again, especially depending on who you are traveling with and when you are traveling. This was our third trip to BW, averaging about five OKW trips to one BW trip. And I'm sure I'll enjoy WL sometime in the future, too.

A few quick questions on your stay,

What size room did you stay in?
How far out did you reserve it?

One bedroom - preferred view. Booked about 3-4 months out. Waitlisted for a standard view but that didn't come through (BW 1-bedroom standard is the same amount of points in January as OKW 1-bedroom).

DD was also at BW the second week of January in a 1-bedroom. Booked that about 6-7 months out. Got standard view except for the first day (Sunday of ML King weekend). Waitlisted for a standard view that one day and it came through about 2 months before visit.

I haven't had too much trouble booking at BWV but I never try to book at a busy time. Being an OKW type of person, I don't think I would like BW during a busy season anyway, so January visits work fine for me, and I'm glad BW is available as an option!

I agree. That's the beauty of DVC! We do have options.

I agree!!! It's why we love the DVC too! The different themed resorts are great....sometimes, if you want a more relaxing vacation, you can stay at OKW or VWL, which always seem to me to have a lsower pace. If you want to be in the thick of things, BWV or BCV are right there!

I've said it many times...buying into the DVC was one of the best things DH and I ever did.
