Hi were travelling from the UK this year late August/early Sept. We have booked a 1Bdrm Villa and was wondering if its possible to request a certain location on OKW. Ive read the other threads here so know everybody has their own opinions regarding thier own circumstances. we have a car so dont care how far we are from HH or anything else, however we do want a great view from our balcony possibly golf course/water view. So if room requests are accepted what building would offer us the best views.
Also im reading about possible refurbs going on, does anybody know how or if this will affect our trip.

Many thanks in advance.

There really is no such thing as a bad view from the balconies at OKW. The entry into the villa faces the parking/roadway and is visually sheltered from those areas with mature foliage. The balconies face either a water view, golf course, or a little in-between. The units on South Point face the canal that leads to DTD. Here is a link to a map of OKW that may give you a better idea. http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/okwmap.htm

I had a bad one once, building 28. It's on a fairway and the view was mostly trees. Besides no view, the trees made the room dark. Looking to our left, building 29 was even worse, some of the balconies actually had trees growing over.

After looking around the resort, the next time I requested Turtle Pond Road water view. We got some great views there - buildings 31, 37, 43. We always had a rental car so distance wasn't an issue.

Oooo. Obviously not a fan of Joyce Kilmer. :rotfl2:
