OKW Jan 1-7/06 stay

Stayed on rented points from DVC member at Old Key West in one bedroom condo, what a great place 2 tv's, full kitchen, full laundry and huge jacuzzi tub, the place was massive, wonderful. I really like not having maid service did not have to clean up before heading to the parks. We were at parks all day so did not use much of the facilities at the resort. If you rent points you pay about the same as a deluxe room in another resort hotel but you would only get a room with 2 beds and nothing else.

Stayed in 3421 on Turtle pond road. I requested certain buildings and the check in person looked up every one until she found a room that mached my request.

This was a wonderful stay!

Glad you had a great trip! I'm thinking that the next time we go to WDW with our family we will look into renting points and staying at a DVC resort. With two teenage boys, we really need the extra room!

I was just wondering how far in advance you booked your trip? Was it easy to find someone willing to rent points from and to make a ressie for you?

I posted a message on the rent/trade board in September I think and was lucky to find someone who already had a confirmed reservation for the time period I needed. You c I think depending on when you are going makes a difference I went during a holiday time. Also cheaper to rent Sun to Thur as you need more points for Fri/Sat. I read the FAQ on the rent/trade board and did some research before I started the process. I found an owner and everything went well. I sent my payment with UPS after using Canada Post where my envelope it still missing in action.

Thanks for the report. Turtle Pond Road facing the golf course/ponds is my favorite location.

My family and I are going to OKW the first week in March on rented points from a DVC member. So glad to hear you had a great trip. I am getting so excited and love to read positive reviews of OKW.

I've rented before to stay @ OKW..LOVED IT! Renting again for our trip in May. If you are looking to rent points, start looking right away, you never know when a crowded time is going to be.
