Just curious if OKW has an internal bus? If you're staying in the back is there a way to get up to HH?

Do the park buses doing the loop stop at HH at the start and end before heading out?

How many bus stops are there?

Isn't there also another quick service place near one of the pools in the back?

Thanks!

OKW has five bus stops. The usual order is Peninsular Road, South Point, Old Turtle Pond, Miller's Road and Hospitality House.

Normally every bus stops at HH before leaving the resort- so you can usually get on any bus for a ride to the HH area. (It wouldn't hurt to ask the driver before boarding if that is your destination.)

The bus returning from DD/TL also makes a stop at HH on it's way into the resort and is usually labeled "Internal" on the marquee- again, ask if you have any doubts. This bus will then make all of the other stops before again stopping at HH on it's way back to DD (or TL).

The pool at Old Turtle Pond has a snack bar- The Turtle Shack.

Enjoy!

Hi Shannon, me again with additional OKW 2 cents...

My kids love taking the buses. I could take them or leave them, but the kids love them. We use the buses to the parks. Especially at the MK, the OKW bus is quite close to the entrance. We have had good luck with the buses on repeated trips to OKW.

If you want to DRIVE to Hospitality House or Olivia's, however, there is parking there. It's not like BWV or BCV; there is a parking lot adjacent to the area with the shopping and eating. So you can take your vehicle down there and swim/shop and eat. We usually drive within OKW.

My kids like to rent the bicycles and once we rented a pontoon boat and took it all the way to Saratoga. That was a lot of fun. The kids also like the ferry to Saratoga/Downtown Disney. There are activities at the community center but we've never done these -- always too busy.

It is short walk to HH from anywhere at OKW even from South Point, it is a beautiful walk. Of course if it is real hot you may want to get on any bus rather than walk. One advantage of staying at the South Point Area is your walk to SSR, DD, or West Side is shorter. My wife and I like to walk, it is just a guess but I would say that from the South Point area to HH is somewhere between a 1/4 mile and a 1/2 mile, or once to twice around any high school track.

I've also found walking from most points in OKW to not be a problem. However, if it's hot or you're carrying items from the store, it's sometimes very nice to hop the bus for at least part of the trip. One "trick" for getting back to South Point or Old Turtle Pond is to board the bus at Peninsular Road. This is a very short walk across the bridge/street from the backside of HH. I bet it's quicker to walk there from the pool than to go out to the front HH stop.

We have done that too. We too like to walk most places within OKW. Buildings 42 and 49 have the farthest walk.

I had read another post where someone was worried once the slide is built the parking at HH and the villas around will become full? Think this will happen?

Parking at HH is always limited because of folks checking in or just going to Olivias. I know folks have complained in the past about parking lots for buildings 12 and 13 being filled with folks going to HH. We don't usually have any trouble finding a spot, but then we are usually there in non-crowded times.

The new slide will make the parking situation down near the HH worse, no doubt about it. The units right across from HH will be effected, they might have to put in a gate with a key situation, who knows.
