Hi Everyone!

I've decided not to rent a car for my first solo trip- I won't need to leave Disney property and will never be in a big rush. But I am wondering how the interior bus service at OKW works. If I am far away from the Hospitality House, can I hop any bus to the HH? How about if I want to go to Southpoint Pool and I am way up at HH? Is there a certain bus I can jump on to get to the stop closest to Southpoint?

As always, thanks for your excellent help!

You can usually hop on any bus and get to HH. During the day, at least, they all stop at HH the last stop. Always good to ask when getting on, as they do change their schedules from time to time. I have found that most frequently at night, where they may stop at HH first.

Going to another pool depends on where you are in the bus cycle and is more of a challenge. If you are near HH - the buses stop there last, so you may need to walk to the Peninsular stop instead. I think the Miller Rd one is the one right before HH, so if you are near there, easy to go to HH, not so easy to get anywhere else.

Hope this helps.

And even though it looks large and spread out, its not an awful walk - in fact, quite pleasant when the weather 's nice.

When we stayed last Easter all the buses stopped at HH as the last stop before going to the parks. The first time around the loop we thought it was very long but as the days went by it seemed to be quicker and quicker. Probably because we were excited to get to the parks on our first day and more and more tired by the end of the week. You will enjoy OKW--it's very relaxing and quiet.

We didn't have a car either and it wasn't a problem. Have fun!

All theme park busses stop at the Hospitality House before they leave the resort. You can board ANY bus to get to the HH.

Downtown Disney busses are also "Internal" busses for OKW, meaning that they should make the Hospitality House their first and last stop when making the loop. If you need to get from the HH back to your building, look for a Downtown Disney or "Internal" bus.

Of couse, it certainly wouldn't hurt to confirm your destination witht the driver as you board. ;)

You have an excellent point...OKW is so beautiful, if I want to go to the pool, I should just take a stroll through our wonderful community and enjoy the atmosphere!:sunny:

I also enjoy strolling around OKW. A good trick for getting back to South Point or Old Turtle Pond by bus is to hop on at Peninsular Road. Chances are you would be along the "boardwalk" area at OKW and not out in front of Hospitality House anyway so it'seasier to walk over to this stop rather than heading out front.

Don't look for buses marked "internal" -- just ask the driver of any bus if they'll be making your stop. :)
