OKW info please!

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me some info on the OKW. Things like what buildings to request (we're looking for rooms near pools, good views of either a pond or golf course, but nothing to far from the main areas). Also, how is the bus service? Reliable or so-so? Also, do the rooms have VCRs in them? Any answers at all would be appreciated!

Buildings 11,12,13,14,62,63 are close to the main area, the Hospitalkty House, the main pool, and many of them overlook the golf course. Additionally, buildings 62,63,64 have elevators.

Buildings 19 and 20 are close to a quiet pool and a bus stop...I'm not sure of view.

Buildings 23 and 26 are close to the bus stop, and a short walk to the main pool.

Buildings 41 and 42 are close to a quiet pool.

Buildings 33 and 34 are close to a bus stop.

Buildings 55 and 56 are close to a quiet pool.

Buildings 52,53,56 are close to the bus stop.

If you go to the Hotels sectiojn on this website and click on resort maps, you can see a map of OKW that'll give you a better idea of building location. It also denotes bus stops, pools.

When you look at the map, keep in mind that the view is out the "back" of the unit. Roughly where the unit # is on the map is the back.....For example, if you were in Unit 45 you would be looking at the canal, not the road in the "front".

The bus service from OKW is supposed to be every 30 minutes while the service from BCV is posted to be every 20 minutes. Have stayed several times at OKW and twice at the new BCV. Service seemed to be much better at BCV.

There are no VCR's in studios, all other units have them in living room.

I've found the bus service at OKW to be no better or worse than that at any other WDW resort....DVC or otherwise.

Remember, You can request but that doesn't mean you will get it. It seems that alot of people like to be close to the hospitality house. We prefer to be back on Old Turtle Pond rd(41-43). As Disney Doll stated it is close to a pool and hot tub. You also can hop on any bus an take it to the hospitalty house.

We have never had a complaint about any of the rooms we have been in. Peninsular Road was really nice. Can't wait to get back home!!
