OKW housekeeping question

We checked in today in a studio at OKW for 7 nights. This is an exchange through II. We are a family of 4. There are not enough towels for 4 people. I called housekeeping to ask for more. All I wanted was enough so each person can have one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth. I was told they only give enough towels for 2 people because that is usually how many people stay in a studio. I told her we were a family of 4 and she said sorry but that is what they give. If we want more, we will have to pay additional money. I think that is very odd, that 4 people are expected to share towels and washcloths meant for 2 people. Am I getting correct information from housekeeping?

I think it should be: 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, and 1 bath mat. Call Mousekeeping again this morning and let us know how it goes.

Studios correctly hold 4 people. I've always had enough towels in there for 4 people to have one of each towel. I don't understand why they said this.

There should be a sign posted in the kitchenette area detailing what should be in the studio. The towel pack should contain "service for 4". If you order an extra towel pack that is also what you will get.

Thank you. I found it. It says the towel package is 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 wash cloths, and 1 bath mat. This towel package costs $6.00. We did not get all these towels when we checked in. I did ask the front desk and they saw to it that we got enough towels for 4 people.

FYI--Be sure to check your bill when you check out....we stayed last year and had *NO* soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc and called to request them....they brought up plenty (after a 45 minute wait) but charged us $10 for the package. I informed the front desk upon checkout and they credited the charge. Just an FYI, sometimes the "wires" get crossed, but all in all OKW CM's have always been very friendly and helpful in all instances... and I love love love OKW!

OKW is our favorite resort and one of our home resorts. We have had many wonderful stays there since our first stay in 1994. The housekeeping has taken a huge turn for the worse in the past couple years. The person you talked to on the phone obviously doesn't know much about Disney resorts or DVC resorts. Even the All Stars give you four towels! I have had many conversations with OKW management concerning the poorly managed housekeeping staff.

Stayed in a Studio, Building 64 room #6420, 12/20-12/24 and it was very nice, very clean on check in. Just couldn't get over the size of the Studios, we were told they were larger but wow
Front Desk was awesome, Carol was very very helpfull in getting us a room early and close to Hospitality House.
