I'm heading down to OKW on Sat. the 11th! I am soooo excited. It's my first official trip as a DVC member. So- all you OKW pros- what should I look for while down at OKW? Any not to miss things? Foods I can't pass up? Things you can only experience if you're staying at OKW? I know there has to be something because I read so many wonderful thingabout this resort!

I wish that I had words of wisdom to give to you, but I will be making my very first trip 'home' to OKW in about 2 1/2 weeks! :hyper:

So, we are very excited and also looking forward to any comments on this particular thread as well. :magnify:

Nick- where do you cathch the ferry?

My DW and I always look forward to an evening stroll to the Gurgling Suitcase! Its a tiny little bar :crowded: near the main pool. They make a great Margarita!

Right next to the main pool, behind the Hospitality House. It runs from 12:00 noon until around 9:00 pm. it holds about 12 people at a time.;)

You can catch Trumbo ferry right near the same place. It docks at th boat doc along the boardwalk at Hospitality House.

Gurgling Suitcase is a definite- IF they will make drinks that are not alcoholic.... I don't drink! So- is it still a go for the Suitcase?

We have been members at OKW for 7 years. I think of it as my vacation home, but it is not really a destination type vacation in itself other than that it is within WDW and a nice relaxing place to be. We enjoy walking around the resort, having a meal at Olivia's, and most of all, taking the Trumbo ferry to DTD. The REAL draw for us is the size of the accommodations, the big balconys with the wild life to watch, water and golf course sunset and sun rise views, and those nice quiet pools and spas. I like to look at all the member photos on the "wall of fame" and just sit in Papa's Den. Even the walking path to DTD is fun in the daytime. Like I said, the real joy here is to have easy access to all things Disney. We usually go to a different WDW resaurant every day.

non alcoholic drinks are made too i think -- so yes its still good to gooooooooooooo
