OKW Hard to get for Oct '06?

Anyone with OKW experience - we would like to book two weeks in Oct. at the 7 month mark. We own at BW but would like to try OKW. Do you think we'll be able to get in at 7 months? We were thinking of inviting the Grandparents and trying for a GV for part of the time but I'm guessing that'll be really hard to come by.

Any opinions on if I should try to book day by day? I've never tried that...

The way these boards have been talking October seems to be pretty busy for us DVCers. You may want to try to get someone to exchange points or ressies with you as it seems that BWV are very popular for the Food & Wine, you would probably be able to do this. We have stayed several times in GV at OKW, they are awesome. Good luck to you.

It will probably depend on when you want to travel. Why don't you call MS and check on availabilty to see if what you want is even available. You won't be able to make the ressie yet (as you already know), but it would be worth calling to see if GV's are already gone.

I assume you have already booked at BW so you'll be sure to have SOMETHING? If not, I'd call right away and then call about OKW at 7 month window. We own at OKW and I have ALWAYS gotten dates I needed even when calling just a few months out. Was even able to add another night at a GV about 3 months before my Nov.3 '05 trip. Loved being there first weekend of Nov.! Just booked a March '06 2 bedroom at OKW, too!

It's funny because I asked this exact same question last week. Except I'll just want a two-bedroom, not a grand villa.

We own at BWV and this year we went to OKW during OCt. I had no problems getting a two bedroom. We had asked about a GV but they were booked. So good luck on the GV but a 2BDRM should not be a problem
