OKW GV sort of available at 7 months

I just tried to book an OKW GV for our trip at the end of Nov, early Dec, I am not surprised that I couldn't book it perfectly at this point (7 months out) but I am surprised that 2 different nights (not consecutive) are not available. Just curious what DIS veterans think are my chances that this waitlist may come through. I hate to cancel my BLT reservation if there is a possibility to get the OKW GV for my entire trip. Thanks!!

We ran into a similar situation around July 4th a couple of years ago. We arranged for a 1BR and a Studio for the night that we could not get the GV. It turns out that we ended up having to move to the smaller accommodations on July 4th (the last full day of our trip). The CMs at Old Key West were able to get our smaller rooms in the same building, so the move wasn't so bad.

But having said that, moving twice during a trip is a pain. I cannot say what the odds are of your getting the missing days on your trip. And I'm not sure what the availability of a studio is at this late date. Can you all fit into a 2BR? Those rooms seem to be the last to book, so you might be able to at least stay at OKW and keep fingers crossed for a cancellation so that your waitlist comes through.

I thought of trying that but am torn because I have a 2 bedroom booked at BLT, the GV at OKW would just give us all a nice amount of space and a 3rd bedroom too for a reasonable amount of points. I am so confused about what to do.
