okw gv building #25?

We were lucky enough to get a week in June in a GV We have always stayed in bldgs 23-26 so we requested this area but we also requested non-smoking. In looking at Doc's map, thanks Doc!, I see that #25 is 'smoking optional'....so, my question is, has anyone stayed in a GV in #25 lately and can you tell me if it smelled of smoke? We are bringing our best friends and my sister's family with us and I really want it to be just perfect. If there is a smoky smell in the bldg, I will request another building. Thanks so much!

I can assure you, it will have a smoke odor- it is a smoking villa.

If you put non-smoking as your first request, it will likely be honored- but you may want to expand your second request to include other buildings. If you arrive and should be assigned to that building, there may be little else to choose from as the GV's do fill up most of the time.

Thanks so much for posting the building info...I had no idea bldg #25 was smoking. I'm going to look over the okw map and find another bldg to request.

Building 25 has 2 GV's. We have stayed in both at different times. We are all NS'ers and I had no idea that building 25 was a smoking building. We had no problem with smoke smell but maybe the people prior to us were also NS'ers. We were lucky both times I guess. Now once I stayed in building 22 or 21, whichever is a smoking building and the smoke smell was so bad that I had to sleep with towels over the pillows. It made me sick to my stomach. I have been in many homes and hotels that had smokers but this room must of had a smoking marathon before we got there.
Why building 25 was so clear of the smoke odor is odd but nice.

Since each GV building only has 2 GVs, I would not request a specific building. Your first choice should be Non smoking and beyond that a general area. You will have a better chance of getting what you want that way.
