We'll be checking into a GV at OKW on Saturday :love:

On Monday evening we would like to have some friends over for a meal. how do they check in at the gate??

Thanks

Depends on the situation:
Take the boat down to DTD and meet them there, leave their vehicle in the parking lot of DTD, and then escort them into the resort.
At check-in get extra car parking passes, meet them at some location outside the resort, and then have them follow you into the resort.
At check-in get extra car parking passes, call the front desk and security, inform them of a day guest coming, your room number, security will point them in the correct direction to your room, and be sure to put the parking pass in their vehicle.

We have done all of the above at one time or another. The best way in our opinion is the boat to DTD and back.

Just get an additional car pass for them when you check in that they can put in their vehicle after they arrive at your unit. We have never had issues with guests coming in to visit, but you will need a parking pass for them. When they come in, they just tell the guard at the gate your name and that they are visiting you, and they will check that it's a legitimate reservation, and let them in.

Thanks for the information :goodvibes

Doesn't look like it is going to be a problem. they will only be there for a couple of hours - just long enough to have dinner with us in our villa.

There shouldn't be any need for special arrangements. When they come in the gate at OKW they can just tell the guard they are visiting a guest there. The guard will probably ask them for a photo ID, but they will be allowed in.

Oh, well if it's just for a couple of hours, they will get a temp pass from the guard if it's needed. My guess is that it wont be needed.

We had visitors at OKW who stayed for 3-4 hours. The day before the visit I asked at the gate what we needed to do to arrange for visitors to enter the resort and drive to our villa. I was told the visitors just needed to give our name (and maybe the villa number?). I can't remember if they mentioned needing a picture ID, but I would not be surprised if the guard asked for one.

We had guests visit on our last stay at OKW. They told us to instruct our guests to notify security of who they were visiting and the room number. They did not require a parking pass.
