OKW grand villa locations

Hi all. I booked a GV yesterday in June and the very kind lady I was speaking to automatically waitlisted me for the HH category insisting that it was worth my while to see if it came through. However, in my experience requests for specific areas only seem to lengthen the check in time so I called back today and requested to be removed from the waitlist. I figured I'd request nothing and just take my chances on what I get.

My question is...Does anyone have a bad experience in a specific location to report? When I look at the map buildings 22 and 43 seem like they are way out to themselves. Are either of these locations as bad as they appear on paper? If there aren't any "bad" GVs so to speak I'll leave any requests alone, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could share some info on these buildings or any others. TIA!

There are really only 2 GVs in the "Near HH" category and both are found in Building 25. We've stayed in both of the Building 25 GVs and they are great and convniently located. Also close to HH are Buildings 15, 16, 19, 63, 64 and 29 of those with GVs.

As you noted Buildings 22 and 49 are a little further out, but even those would not be an issue IMO.

GV's are found in Buildings 15,16,19,22,25,29,43,48,49,51,53 and 63.

Regardless where your GV is located, I'm sure you'll enjoy the villa!

I stayed in GV in building 63 and it was fantastic!! just cross the parking lot for HH and not in HH category, so maybe easier to get. However, it has an elevator, so if there is a medical request that would trump you. We happened to have a medical request, so it worked for us at 7 months out.

We stayed in GV 1922 in June. It was very, very convenient. It was a short walk to HH, the bus stop was a few steps away as well. I had rented a car "just in case", but we used Disney transportation exclusively to get to the theme parks.
We had the 2nd & 3rd floors of the building, so there were no problems with noise from above.

I've stayed in 3 different GV's. Jun 08/Bldg 15 # 1522 which was near HH with a lovely view of the golf course and fountain. Jul 04/Bldng 55 #?, by the quiet pool & BBQ grills and Jun 01, can't remember which Bldg. I've never made special requests and to date, I've never been disapointed. For my next OKW extended stay, I would like to venture to the back 40 with a view of the canal!

Several years ago we had a GV and it was near the HH (can't remember the #). It had an elevator and they gave us a HA one (when one was not requested) and we asked to be moved because we were traveling with small children who could reach all of the stove burners, AC controls, etc. It was just not safe. They did move us so if you do not want a HA GV you should designate that on your reservation. The GV's are just lovely and I'm sure you will have a wonderful time!
