We are so excited! We've been OKW members since 1993 but have never stayed in a Grand Villa. On Jan 14 we will have our entire immediate family of 10 with us for a week.

We need a first floor entrance as my wife have recent knee surgery and will utilize a scooter. Does anyone have a recommendation about a building location we should request (knowing its only a request)? It would be nice to be closer to Hospitality House. Any experience with Buildings 63 and 64?

Many thanks and best wishes for a joyous holiday season!

If you are needing first floor due to your wife using a scooter, then call MS and add the request. There aren't very many, and at times they can be hard to come by- first come, first served.---Kathy

Thanks, Kathy - didn't know !st floor GVs were limited; will call right away.

There is one first floor entry - building 48, which is wheelchair accessible on the first floor with a roll in shower in the master bath.

The only other ones accessible without climbing stairs are in building 63, one of the elevator buildings. I believe there are 2 of those, but there may only be 1.

That's right. Request building 63 for medical reasons, because that building has an elevator. You do NOT want the HA GV that has a first floor entrance if you don't need the other HA features. Those features will make living in the unit difficult at best with all the alterations from a normal unit. FYI, 63 has TWO GVs in it, however, one of those is also an HA unit.
