OKW Grand Villa at 7 months

Has anyone had luck booking an OKW grand villa at the 7 month mark for an October stay?

Not October, but I just got one for Sept 16-22. I was not going to call day by day because of my backup reservation, but I got nervous and booked Sun-Thursday in one call and then called back for the Friday night. From the CM I talked to it seemed like there was plenty of openings. Good Luck!

Cool! We love the grand villas but we're all out of OKW points for this year. I'll keep my fingers crossed and call day-by-day.

October might be a little more difficult than Sept. Last year my brother tried for OKW GV for Oct. and couldn't get one, and that was using OKW points before the 7 month window opened up.
IMO the OKW GV's are getting harder to get in general...we alsways travel in the beginning of June, for the first 6 years GV's were always avaiable during that time at the 7 month mark, for the last two years, this June included, they were not.
Good Luck though, they are well worth the points!!!

It will be tough with Food & Wine Festival going on. Oct is a great time to go because of the F&WF, MNSSHP, golf tournament, Race for the Taste, etc. Because of those reasons, a GV at 7 months could be difficult to get.

I was a bit worried about the October time frame because of the popularity of the Food and Wine Festival. I better have a back-up plan ready. Thanks for all your input.
