OKW Grand Villa at 7 months

Just wanted to ask if people have any luck getting the 3 bedroom grand villas at OWK in the 7 month window? I'm sure holidays and spring break are impossible, but how about an August summer vacation. The point value seems reasonble. Funny how 3 bedrooms aren't being included in the new resorts. I believe I read where there are only 9 3 bedroom units in the huge Boardwalk complex, and the point value on them looks pretty high. OKW does have the advantage of the better point values.

I can tell you I've been on a wait list since last month for the end of march.

Summertime points are generally higher. This period is not as difficult to get in as October or the begining of December. The lowest point perods are generally when the GVs are most difficult to get.

We have also seen some loosening up on the demand for GVs. I remember when you had to call day by day within ten minutes of MS opeing right at 11 months to get one at any time of the year. We have had reports of success at seven months many times. We have also heard of severe difficulty.

You do have a shot and I think since you are looking at August, you have a pretty good shot.

We got ressies at the 7 month window for 9 nights at the beginning of May for 9 nights in a GVat OKW. Counting the Days.

We joined a waitlist for a GV at OKW in August and received confirmation in October that our request came through for the first week in December, typically one of the most difficult to get. Even if there is no availability at the 7 month window try the waitlist, having other reservations confirmed. What the heck, it can't hurt to try.

We were also able to get at 7 months for May. It never hurts to try!
