OKW Grand Villa at 7 months out!

Our daughter is graduating high school next year and for her senior week rather than going to the local shore with her friends we offered to provide a DVC resort for 7 days for her and her friends to spend at wonderful Walt Disney World. The only problem is we own at VWL and are just wondering what the chances are of getting a Grand Villa at OKW 7 months out.

We are looking at maximizing our points and OKW provides the largest facility for the points. Anyone with a better idea or plan please let me know.

You may want to rent points from an OKW owner and then rent your points out to cover the cost. It may seem like a lot of work ,but it really isn't. The GV's are a tough book any season but really tough in high season.

You could also so a ressie swap with someone that wants to do VWL at Christmas.

I booked an OKW GV for January 2005 and did a day-by-day booking to insure that I got it. At 7 months out, you may be pushing it. They are a hot commodity.

When is the Senior Week? That could have an effect on availability, too. You might want to also consider SSR as an option.

An OKW owner friend decided just last December to invite several friends to OKW in early May. He was able to get reservations this past January for the early May stay. Good luck!
