OKW Grand Villa at 7 months in March

Does anyone know if it is difficult to get a Grand Villa at OKW at the 7 month window for a late March vacation?

My DW and I have started planning our next trip back home and at first were going to invite one other family, but now she wants to invite another family (which is fine by me). I know we could get one at our home resort, SSR, but the point difference is almost twice as much. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I would think it might be difficult with Spring Breaks.

I would suggest that you go over to the Rent/Trade board and offer to trade points to an OKW owner who is willing to make a reservation for you.

If you're talking about during Spring break, I agree, it will most likely be difficult. That said suggestions are these : if you have the pts. , book the GV at SSR and then at 7mos try and switch the ressie over. If you can't you can try and waitlist and you may have sucess. OR if you aren't completely set on having to all be in one villa together you could always book a 2bdrm and a studio and put in a request to be in the same bldng. Sometimes the not having complete togetherness is actually a bit of a help ...and the pts. will be less too. At OKW a GV during the 1st 2 weeks of March for 1 week will cost 501 pts. -- a 2bdrm and a studio for 1 week would cost 296pts and 109pts for a total of 405pts so it would cost 96 pts less.

I agree that booking at SSR with the intent to possibly change to OKW is the best strategy. This assumes that you are within your banking window for the points you might get back if the OKW GV comes through.
