OKW for Dec 2008, need some suggestions!

In a couple of weeks I will be making a ressie at my home resort of OKW for Dec 13-20, 2008. I will be requesting a Dedicated 2 Bedroom. Was curious to know which buildings have a 2 bedroom along with an elevator.

We stayed in Building 17 in October and even though it was only 2 floors, the building didn't have an elevator and after a long day of walking the parks, those stairs just killed us.

Would also like to be close to the Hospitality House!

Only the "new" buildings have elevators--62, 63 and 64.

We requested one on our last visit and got it--BUT we were on the ground floor!!!

The only buildings with elevators are the last ones to be constructed (I think 62-64). The others do not. I asked for 1st floor for medical reasons and was offered 3 locations at check-in. Theses buildings are also within very close distance to HH.

But PLEASE, if you really do NOT have a medical necessity, don't request for that reason. We are an aging couple where one of us has very bad knees. We don't request ground floor or elevator, and don't feel like the stairs at OKW are that bad. They are very low rise easy ones to manuever even for the one with bad knees.

Oh I would never do that. I think that's terrible. I'll ask for those buildings but if I don't get them, then I don't get them. I would never tell them I need it for medical reasons if I really didn't have medical problems.

I was not advocating that you make up a medical reason for requesting special accomodations. I did have a medical reason for this and appreciate the potential misuse of this as I have been a physical therapist for 25 years and an advocate for those who have physical limitations. You can always ask at check-in if there is a first floor villa that meets your needs, you may have to wait, but this has worked for people in the past.
