Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any info. We are going in June with my family of 8 in a 2 bdrm. villa. for 10 nights.

First and foremost...which building/area do you recommend? And is the area near the main buildings really noisy compared to other locations?

Here's what I want:

Ground Floor (two little kids and adults w/knee problems & balconies scare me with the little ones).

Close to a bus stop.

Close to a pool.

Dedicated 2 bdrm. - non-smoking

What are the chances I'll actually get all that?? :confused3

I'm SO excited. Any advice or info is appreciated!

I would narrow your requests down to one or two of the most important ones. It's very unlikely to get all of those filled. FYI, there are four pools spread throughout the complex, so most units are near one. I would go with the ground floor, nonsmoking requests since those seem like the most important ones.

We've stayed in the area near the main buildings on three separate times and did not consider them noisy. However, we were never on the ground floor. Building 62 is three story and has an elevator.

Usually, two bedroom villas are given out as dedicated first. Then lockoffs. So you should have a good chance at getting a dedicated two bedroom.

I think you will find that every Old Key West member you ask will have a different answer to the best building question. Our kids like to walk to Olivia's, the General Store, the main pool and Hank's so we like buildings 11-14. I think the real answer is that you can't go seriously wrong wherever you stay at Old Key West. Enjoy your visit!!
