OKW - February 2006 availability

My family and I just purchased at Sarotaga Springs and are planning our 1st vacation as DVC members in February 2006. I will be bringing my extended family down, 9 of us in total, and was hoping to reserve a 2-bedroom and a studio at OKW. What are the chances of me getting the rooms at the 7 month window. We will be staying between February 11- 17, 2006? What is the weather like? Anything over 60 degrees and I would be happy.

That's not a particularily busy time at DVC, so I don't think you will have any problems booking at the 7 month window. The only thing that COULD be an issue is the studio, since they are sometimes a bit more difficult to get later on, but I think you will be fine for February.

I would change your dates to the week before and you should have no problems getting what you want. Things really pick up down there by the second week of Feb and it is especially busy if it is President's Week. As for the weather the average high is 73, the average low 50. If it Presidents week, the parks get real crowded. You can get a grand villa for 6 days not 7 for about 332 points if you drop a weekend day. That might be something to consider also. At any rate I would come a week earlier, same weather much less crowds.

President's Day isn't until February 20th next year, so if you are leaving on the 17th, you will miss most of the crowds for the holiday weekend.

I was in WDW Feb 10-14 this year---stayed at Pop Century which was booked to capacity (told to me by two CM's). We found the parks fairly busy but I'd bet you will be able to find availability at OKW at the 7 month window.

We were at OKW Feb 1-8 this year in a one-bedroom and a studio. Even with some overflow SuperBowl crowds, it was not crowded and we pretty much had our pick of villas. Besides the President's Day issues that were discussed, I would think you would be ok.
