OKW evening movie location

Just back from 8 days at OKW. Very nice trip. Our one minor complaint was the location they've moved the evening movies to.

They are inflating the giant screen on the sidewalk right in front of the Hanks rental desk facing the picnic tables. So you can sit at the picnic tables to watch... however all of the tables have giant umbrellas blocking a big chunk of the screen. And since it's the main sidewalk, of course there is people traffic in front of the screen.

Anyone else not like this setup? When we asked, we were told it was moved there because they weren't getting as much participation over at the bleachers, and people have generally liked the new location.

It's not a huge deal, but we just didn't enjoy the new setup.

Send feedback to DVC member services. Sounds like they have no reason to be committed to one location over another--it just depends upon what guests like best. Let them know you didn't care for that particular location.

FYI- we stayed one night there on 9/16 and the movie (Oliver) was actually inflated by the pool area close to where the slide lets out. We had no problem seeing the movie Maybe people's comments helped!

They had the same location when I was there for spring break last year. I wasn't watching the movie, but I was trying to walk through the area which was difficult given the crowd of people trying to watch a movie there.

My guess is that they figured out they would make more money on snacks and bar drinks if the kids could watch the movie while the parents are close by.
