OKW & Disney Springs on a Thursday evening....what would do?

HI -

Reformed park commando and newly crowned DVC member. WE arrive in 3 weeks & will be at OKW around 3PM on a Thursday. Just us silly old empty nesters. We've never stayed at OKW and to be honest we've never just hung out at the resort before. looking for mild exploring and some romantic/low key activity stuff Trying to decide if dinner should be at DS or maybe Olivia's. The next day is another non-park day but we are heading over to the Poly.... What would you do?

DS would be a perfect evening. We love hitting DS on arrival afternoon and grabbing a few beers and slow strolling then grab some dinner.

Olivia's could hardly be called romantic. But the food is good. We enjoy The Boathouse at Disney Springs, too.

You could rent a surrey bike at OKW and ride around the resort. You can't really leave it, but you can go all over it. Plus the ground is level, not hilly like the BW. Take the boat over to Disney Springs if you head over there. You could walk over there is you leave before sunset since the path to DS isn't lit at night.

I would do dinner at Olivia’s and the the boat to DS for drinks or dessert. Or go the opposite - happy hour at DS followed by dinner at Olivia’s. I love sitting outside in the patio area of Olivia’s, and the boat ride to DS from OKW is part of the fun/charm of staying at OKW. There are lots of places to eat dinner at DS, obviously, but Olivia’s is much more relaxing, and as a first time OKW’er, it’s a nice way to soak up the atmosphere of the resort.

I love Raglan Road or House of Blues at DS. Great food and some live entertainment. Not exactly romantic, but neither is Olivia's.
