OKW Complaints?

I'm glad to hear your medical request was met. That is an important need for the resort to honor.

FYI, there is a GV in building 48 which has ground floor access, in addition to the elevator access in buidlings 62-64.

Enjoy!

I totally believe there could have been a rude CM, because it happened to us. It has nothing to do with the customer "seeing the glass half empty" or "mad because they don't get their way." In our case it was the one time we were not able to check in early, so I got the impression all the good rooms had been given out, even though in early February I was shocked that the entire resort could be booked with absolutely no other rooms available. But that is what the CM claimed, with total cold indifference, no sympathy, no apology, no offer to speak to a supervisor, and most importantly no information to warn us that our unit was being painted.

That's right. Imagine stepping out of your bedroom after dropping off your luggage only to see a man on your balcony. What a complete violation of privacy! This was supposed to be a romantic trip but we had no privacy the whole time!!!

Furthermore, it was a non smoking building but he was smoking on our balcony. Furthermore, when he saw me he tossed the lit cigarette over the second story railing with no regard to fire danger.

When we talked to the CM she was not at all apologetic and still failed to warn us that the painting would go on outside our room for the entire four days we were there. Her implication to us was that it was a mistake and all over with, which did not turn out to be the case. I found out later she also failed to offer to move us even though the next days there WAS availability if only she had done it right away. By the time we got to speak to a manager (and I cannot count the amount of wasted vacation time trying to get in touch with someone in charge as none of the front desk seemed to care at all), rooms were once again not available.

Furthermore, we always run the jacuzzi once to clean it out, so I know it was clean when we used it the first night, but the next day we sat in it and on getting out of the water there were hundreds of tiny bugs in it! I can only assume they had been driven in by the paint fumes. Once again, there was no expression of sympathy for this disgusting shock from the front desk. Even if they could not move us (and do I even need to mention they did not put us in the area we requested to begin with?), they should have at least sympathized with the appalling conditions. And the manager should have apologized for, disciplined, and tried to make up for the first rude CM, which of course did not happen. DH is a store manager who knows how you are *supposed* to treat customers, so we do have reasonable standards to compare their rudeness to. Their complete lack of concern was totally rude.

In case you wondered, after our trip I got in touch over the phone with some customer service officer who offered *one* night at an OKW 1-bedroom on a subsequent trip to make up for our four nights of hell, *if* they have availability. We have made a ressie for our upcoming trip, but the regular ressie agent cannot find it in the system because it is a special department, so who knows whether we will be screwed over once again. I hope not, because before the trip I just described we had always liked OKW. To the lady who wondered about the parking lots, I'll say the OKW units always seemed like actual condos rather than motel rooms, including the parking layout. Too bad on our last trip the maintenance blocked off all available parking near our unit, but prior to that we were pleased at being able to park right by the "condo" rather than the long walk from the BWV parking, for instance.

Cheers :)
