I just booked our 2 bed at OKW in May. I requested a water view and the CSR recommended building 45 or 46. She said it is on the Canal. Has anyone stayed in these buildings? is it close to a quiet pool or bus stop? What about the noise from the boats, does that cause any problems. I agreed cause I thought the grandkids would like to watch the boats go by, I hope I made the right choice

We've stayed at OKW more times than I can count, and those are my favorite buildings. It's an easy walk to the South Point bus stop and to the quiet pool in that area. There is no boat noise. I hope one of those buildings comes through for you

No boat noise but you could hear the buses 7 AM to 1 AM. We have also noticed that the ground floor rooms in 45 & 46 have a musty smell to them.

We've stayed in 46 & 55 and loved the area. 55 is right next to the quiet pool which was very nice for jumping in the hot tub but we did hear the kids playing. 46 is a walk around the corner and that makes all the difference in being so much quieter. Both are very convenient to the bus stop and also to walk over to DTD. But the best about both locations was the canal view. We had birds and ducks all about, boats going by. We sat out on our deck and soaked in the nature and the cool breeze. I think the coffee on the deck each morning was our favorite part of each day.
As far as the bus noise, it never bothered us in 46. But if that is important, the bus doesn't go by 55.

We stayed in 45 last fall and it was the best area we have ever had anywhere. The view of the water was spectacular. Our grandson loved the boats going by. It was completely quiet and just plain wonderful. We will always request 45 anytime we stay at OKW. I hope you enjoy it as much.

We were there last year and it was great. A short walk to the South Point bus stop. I sat on my porch one morning and watched a family of otters climbing out of the water and playing on the bank.

We stayed in 46 - second floor, two bedroom. The water view from the balcony was lovely. It was a very peaceful location.

Had a 2 bedroom in 45 twice....LOVE the view/location (taken from our balcony) :

I love those views. Best in OKW. However, it isn't the most convienent if you are going to be spending a lot of time at a quiet pool. (Note that not-the-most-convienent = 3 minute walk, not the end of the world.)

55 is another favored building, especially if you want to take the walking trail to SSR/DTD. But it has more vegitation than the other two buildings so you don't necessarily have as good a view of the wate.r

Thank you all so much. It sounds like building 45 or 46 is just what we are looking for and the grandkids will love the animals also. May cant come soon enough.

Building 46 is our favorite! Of course, 45 is fine too, but we really love 46 and being closer to the "corner" of the canal. We've stayed there numerous times, and I've never noticed a musty smell at all. We also have not noticed bus noise there, but then I don't usually let those kinds of things bother me either. I like that it is also a fairly quick hike down to HH. I can make that walk in about 5-7 minutes.
