OKW- Bldg. 62 or 63?

My friend told me these two buildings are closet to Hurricane Hannah's, main digs etc. and are also new. Is this true? Should I request being in one of these 2 buildings or should I just take my chances on what I get ? I KNOW requests aren't guarantees, but does it hurt to ask? Do they try to give you some of your requests? Is there anythign about these 2 buildings that would be different then the other buildings? Thanks everyone.

Honestly, we have not had a bad villa whenever we stay. I rarely make specific requests except for non smoking and a first floor villa if possible. I have liked all the areas we have been given.

We were in building 64 for a night last week and building 25 for the days prior and I liked building 25 better because the walk to the bus was not as long and the view was nicer. I did not see any difference this year in the new building and the older building in wear and tear of the villa. The only thing I am aware if being different is that they have elevators in them.

The buildings at Pennisular bus stop are great if you solely rely on the bus system. If you miss your bus, you are a few minutes easy walk to the Hospitality House bus stop to catch that same bus you missed. It is not far from the front at all.

Take your chances, they are all beautiful and all have a great location. If you want non-smoking then I would ask for that.

Hurricane Hannah's is at the Beach Club, so you will be looking a long time to find it at OKW.

Anyway, buildings 62, 63 and 64 were the last built at OKW, but they were new about 5 years ago and the older villas just are well kept, so there is little difference there. They do have elevators, which the other building don't have.
There are other buildings that are as close to the Hospitality House (the "main digs"), as other posters mentioned. If that is important to you, I would put that as a request instead of a specific building. If the building you request is not available, the CMs don't have anything else to go on - did you want it because of the elvators, because it was close to a bus stop, a pool or the main area, non-smoking, or did you want that specific view? So, you are better off deciding what features you want and putting those as your requests. They do try to fill at least your first request if possible, so make sure that what is most important to you is listed first.
Since OKW has bus stops scattered thru the resort, you are never far from a bus stop. There are also 2 quiet pools and the Old Turtle Pond pool (the 3rd quiet pool) also has a snack bar and arcade.

You are right!!! I would be looking for Hurricane Hannah's for a while!!! LOL !! Don't know what made me type that, but I appreciate the tip! I won't look for HH at OKW!! Maybe what I should look for is the Hospitatlity House (Which is also HH- thus the mix up in my brain!) And, THAT is something I did request- a building close to Hospitatlity house! Silly me!!!
