OKW: Best room requests?

First time staying here - our home resort is AKL but wanted to try and venture out Some friends of ours always stay at OKW and just love it! Since we've not stayed there before - what are some room suggestions? We are a family of 4- 2 tween daughters. Thinking somewhere near a pool?? HH maybe?? Near buses....idk Oh and we will be getting a deluxe studio if that helps answer....THANK YOU!

We request near HH to put us closer to the main pool and Hospitality House. The last stay was last year in bldg. 27. We have also stayed at South Point, it is further away from HH but a very nice location and the quiet pool there is nice and quiet....smjj

We have been members since OKW ended at the bridge by the pool! We love Turtle Pond. Not as far as South Point, great pool, walkable to the main pool and generally quiet.

We have walked to the quiet pool at Turtle Pond a couple of times when staying in the South Point area by cutting thru the golf course trails, makes it a short walk. Never having actually stayed there I was wondering the hours for the snack shack? The two times we did this it was closed. They had hours posted but they were closed..smjj

We love Turtle Pond area too. There are several pools scattered throughout the large resort that is OKW. That's been my home resort for over 20 years and it is still one of my favorites. The villas are HUGE. For room suggestions, are you staying in a 1 bdrm or 2 bdrm villa?

On my last OKW trip this March I was not able to book HH bldgs but ended up in bldg 18 which is on Millers Road. It is also next to a quiet pool which was very relaxing but bldg 18 is also close to HH so access to the main pool was not too far away. People have complained about road noise on Millers Road bldgs but I did not notice any road noise either from Millers Road or the main Disney access roads close by. The bus stop is also just across the street from bldg 18 and since Millers Road is the last bus stop before HH, you can hop on any bus and your next stop is HH...very convenient.
Have also stayed in bldg 45 which was nice but a distance from just about everything and in fact we noticed the noise from the busses heading down to South Point.

We're Turtle Pond people, request as always been granted! 2 BR or GV near the quiet pool #43/42, the bus is by #32, love it! Or for a great view of the water way and a more quiet area #45/46!

Sorry to jump on the thread but have a linked question. I can't request HH as paying cash. We will have a car and a kitchen so don't need to be near HH but really want to be as close as possible to a pool. What villas are closest to each quiet pool please? I don't mind been miles away at South Point if I can drop into the quiet pool from my room. Thank you.

Each area has a quiet pool and none are very far away, maybe a couple of minutes walk I guess. There are plenty of maps of OKW and many have the bldg. numbers if you want to request a certain bldg. We have stayed in South Point a couple of times and it really is not that long of a walk to the HH and main pool area in my opinion or you can just drive down with your car or take one of the buses...smjj
