Hi everyone,

We are staying in OKW this October. Wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what room they have stayed in and which building they prefer. We will be in a studio room. I have requested "closest to the Hospitality House" but am wondering if there are any particular rooms or buildings that are better.

Thanks a lot :goodvibes

We actually requested close to hospitality house in May, but didn't get it. We ended up back in Southpoint close to the quiet pool and we loved it. We just hopped any bus to ride back up to the front (the buses stop at the hospitality house last) and that worked out great.

Good luck!

We always like to stay near the back of the resort near the quiet pool and Turtle Shack. These buildings are in the low 40's. We always rent a car so staying near the Hospitality House has never been an issue for us.

We always ask for Bldgs 45 or 46 overlooking Trumbo Canal. The view is wonderful--water, boats, trees--so peaceful. You're near the South Pointe pool and as a previous poster mentioned, you can hop a bus back to the front if the walk seems too long. It never bothered us, though.

My last stay was in 3533, which is near Turtle Pond pool, and across the street from the bus stop. One perk with this room I didn't expect: from the balcony, I could see the South Point bus turn-around. We could just relax on the balcony until we saw the bus we wanted at South Point, then walk down to the Turtle Pond stop as the bus was headed that way.

I do like buildings 45 and 46, although they aren't particulary close to a bus stop or pool.

We stayed in 62 (3 dedicated 2bds) and everyone of us (13 in all) loved the location. We sat out on the balconey and listened to and watched the fireworks from Epcot. We fed the duckies (got yelled at by the maintenance workers), watched the golfers, and enjoyed the fountain. It was January, so the noise from the street was minimal. I don't remember hearing a bus either. Added bonus.... elevator!

We have stayed in 16, 18, & 13. Building 18 was nice too, faced the same pond as 62. We had a nice little squirrel family that lived in the palm tree outside our balconey. We spent hours watching them go about their day.

Going in September and requested HH again. Interested to see what we get!

We usually stay in building 63 or 64 but IMHO the best room there is the one that is ready when I get there and we can get into LOL.

We have stayed at OKW over 20 times, and every room we have been in has a "best room" something or other about it. Just a word, if you stay near the Hospitality house and are in a studio, there is a small chance you will be very near the road, since the studio rooms are all on the outside corners of the buildings. That could mean some road/bus noise, and most studios tend to be hemmed in with vegetation. We have only stayed in a studio once and a lock off once. All our other stays have been in dedicated 2 bedrooms or Grand villas, so I might not be the best one to ask about studios.

Actually teh studios up near the front are not to bad. We have stayed in one in building 63 and 64 and didn't notice any road noise at all. They tend to be set a little bit further back from the road. You will enjoy it no matter where you stay I am sure.

building 18 or 55 - loved their water views.

you don't want a first floor.

lots of the studios on the first floor are either handicapped or they are next to the air conditioning units.

I haven't stay in the new ones 62, 63 or 65 - I have stayed in Building 11 and 14 - I preferred 18 and 55 - personal taste.

We actually prefer "out-back" in Southpoint or Turtle Pond. It's much more quiet and secluded. That's what we like.

I agree with Diane that all the rooms I've stayed in have been "best rooms." As you can see from the responses, everyone's best room is personal to them.

It's a great resort, I'm sure you'll love it!

I have to agree though I've only been 5 times! I have never been disappointed with a room or view--we always have a car so location isn't really an issue. I think maybe transprtation on Miller's road could be an issue, especially as my tweens turn to teens and want to go exploring together without us (the car).

Every time we would go to OKW, we would ask for HH... and every time, without fail, we ended up in Turtle Pond! It was nice having a quiet pool nearby for a quick dip at the end of the day. That said, we became fond of it, honestly! I'll be interested to see if next summer, when we ask for "Turtle POnd" we end up at the HH instead, LOL!
