OKW and Taxi's

Is it easy to get a Taxi from Old key west?

Any help info would be great.

We want to go to seaworld, universal and get a taxi to Ohana breakfast.

Great to know. We will be requesting a taxi to take us to the California Grille at the Contemporary when we are there in a few weeks.

Any idea of how much it would cost for a round trip taxi to seaworld or universal?

I'm guessing it would be cheaper to rent a car...

I just read on a thread yesterday that Mears will take you for $18 round trip - call them about Seaworld or Universal...

I use taxis all the time. Very easy.

Piggybacking on this thread. How much do you think a taxi would cost from OKW to a grocery store of some sort? I'm assuming there is nothing within walking distance. We will be staying for 10 days and while we have the ddp, we will still need quite a few things. I've looked at the delivery options and everything seems sooooo overpriced so I think the cost of a taxi would be cheaper.

We used Wegoshop.com She shops at Walmart or Publix (or where you pick)and gives you the receipt. No markup. You just pay her shopping fee which is cheaper than a taxi. And definitley worth not wasting my vacation time grocery shopping.

I would just take a bus to MK and walk across the street from the bus stop to the Contemporary. At the end of your dinner, just do the reverse to get back to OKW. Buses run very frequently to MK, and it's always open late this time of year.

Very good info. Do you know what her fee is? That definately seems better than the huge markup I saw on another site.
