We have never been to OKW but are planning 3 or 4 nights there next spring. It will be me and DH, plus another couple. What are the differences in floor plan, bathrooms, etc., between the dedicated villa layout and the lockoff? Do you recommend one over the other for our situation?

They are essentially the same except that the lock-off has two entry doors to the dedicated's one, there is a small foyer at the front of the studio of the lock-off and none for the second bedroom in the dedicated since it has no entry door there, the lock-off has internal doors on each side of the doorway between the main room and second bedroom (that is the "lock-off" feature in that the door in the 1BR can only be opened if you are in the 1BR and the other door can only be opened from the studio; you keep them opened when using as 2BR and closed when separate 1BR and studio), and the lock-off has the mini-kitchen in the studio and the dedicated does not in the second bedroom (giving you some additonal living space in the dedicated). Preferences simply depend on the group. When we do family we prefer dedicateds, others prefer lock-offs particularly if the ones in the second bedroom want to be able to have their own mini-kitchen, and some prefer dedicated if there will be smaller children in the second bedroom so they cannot leave the room without you knowing it.

Just validating Drusba's response. We've used dedicated 2 BR when our kids were little. When we've gone with another family, we've done a lock-off which gave them their own private entrance.

When using the lock-off, the only issue we encountered was our bill being hung on the door of the studio lock-off. I would've preferred our guests not to see or have access to that personal information. That was many years ago so I don't even know if that still happens.

They email the bill to you now.
