OKW 2057 extension......

If I have a OKW 2042 contract can I pay DVD and extend it to 2057? If so, how much is it per pt? Or - was that a one time deal?

i suspect they will still take your money but i'm not absolutely certain.

probably would cost $20-$25 per point.

you can find extended OKW for resale for $7 or so per point higher than 2042 OKW if you're willing to wait.

If you never denied the extension by getting the documents notarized then you can extend with DVC. Simply call member services at 1-800-550-6493 and they should be able to get you in touch with the right department so they can get you the new paperwork.

Last we've heard is $25 per point. If you buy an add-on for OKW through Disney or are first time purchaser it will automatically be an extended to 2057 contract. Just read a thread here that currently with 100 pt minimum purchase OKW is $90 per point.

It's odd that once you sign the deeds back to Disney it is final. I mean, if you change your mind later on, I don't know why DVC couldn't just do another deed back to you, superceding the one you signed back to them.

I'm in that age group where odds are I won't really be able to use the extension...but given medical advances, you never know. It's a shame they wouldn't deed it back to me later if I could use it. I'll be 83 in 2042, many in my family are healthy into their 90s, but with no children or nieces/nephews, I didn't see the point in extending if I didn't know for sure I'd be healthy enough to enjoy it.

I will be 78 in 2040 - and - am amazed I lived to 2010! You bring up a good point though: My son wants to be a Lawyer, hopefully he will be able to afford it by then!
