OKW 2-Bedroom Availability in June?

I am in the process of planning an extended family trip for the first full week of June '06. I am wanting to stay in a 2BR at OKW because of borrowing points for our upcoming trip. I would go ahead and make ressies for SSR, but I am 5 points short of what I need. My use year is June, but I am not sure when I can borrow from 2007. :

Is there a good chance of getting a 2BR at OKW for the first week of June at the 7 month window, or do I need to begin thinking of another plan?

I'd say your chances are excellent. Many kids are still in school that week and many people don't want to vacation right after school lets out anyway.

The only thing that would add to the crowds would be the Gay Week festivities around WDW. For 2006, it appears that most of the activities are June 1 - 4. Here's a schedule that might help in your choice of parks to avoid due to the extra crowds. http://gaydayorlando.com/calendar/

Since you indicated the first full week of June, you'd probably be checking in on Sunday June 4? If so, you shouldn't have any issues.

But if you are there on Saturday June 3, stay clear of MK. About 40,000 red shirts will be there and it will be jammed!

You can borrow the points from your '07 use year as soon as you book, because the stay is in your '06 use year. I suspect you could wait until the 7 month window to book at OKW, but to be on the safe side, you should book at your home resort first and switch at the 7 month mark when that arrives.

We booked a 2 bedroom at OKW for the 3rd week of June '04 in March of that year with no problem. Unless something stange was happening, I'd think you'd be a-ok with the 1st week of June with a 7-month window.
