OKW 2 bd July 4th Week-7 mos out, what are the chances?

Hi there-

What are the chances for a Sun thru Fri for 2 bd at OKW for July 4th week? Really hard or not that bad? Should I do the day to day calling MS or just take chances for the end of the week. Already have a 1 bd resv for SSR for the week but would love the extra space. How many 2 bds are at OKW anyway. Does anyone know?

My impression is that you will have a very good chance! I don't think you have to call day-by-day. I'd be interested to hear other opinions, though.

I don't think you'll have a problem. I've gotten a two bedroom Easter week @ the OKWest about 9 weeks out.

OKWest has two queen beds in their studio The pull out couch, and the King in the master bedroom.

We have done this resevation several times.

In fact except for BW Standard view we have pretty much been able to get all locations the week of July 4th, at 7 months out.

I do not think you will have a problem.

Just be prepared for huge crowds, lots heat and humidity.

I got a 2 bedroom at OKW June 4-11, 2004: 31 days from check-in date.

You should not have any problems. Most DVC members know enough to stay away from WDW the July 4th week.

NOT ALL!! We have to go to WDW usually during Summer break!
We try to go in early June, but have been to WDW in July, and it is not bad!!

P.S. If I am the only one, WHY is BWV usually full in July???? I will bet they are almost ALL members there too.... JMO

LOL, this reminds me of the famous Yogi Berra quote about a popular restaurant. He said "Nobody ever goes there any more because it's always too crowded".

We also have vacationed in July and found it to be no problem. Yes it's hot and the crowds are up. But they are also running all the seasonal attractions (rarely rehabbing anything during the summer) and the parks are open longer hours.

To the OP, I completely agree that you will probably have no problem getting that reservation at 7 months, especially at OKW. Good luck!

Nope your not the only one. This is our usual time to visit. We will be going to OKW too. You won't have a problem. I've gotten it at 4 months out.

Be sure to say hi (I'll do the lime green thing!)
