We just stayed at OKW for the first time Oct. 4 - 13. I'm in love!!!! I cannot imagine having to stay with my group of high school kids at All Star ever again. They will drag me there kicking and screaming. OKW is the most wonderful place.

Christmas we are staying in a studio at BWV. How much of a difference (other than room size) will it be?

What view do I what? though not guaranteed!

Is it true that DVC members receive free valet parking?

What floor would be ideal?

OKW is our home resort and we just love the 1-B/R villas.

Your studio at BWV is going to feel a lot more like a hotel room when compared to the OKW 1-B/R. It's nice with the small fridge and micro, and the sofa is much better than having the 2nd bed there all the time. The main thing you'll like is location. Having a studio is a good excuse to get outside and enjoy the boardwalk itself.

You didn't say what kind of view you originally reserved: Standard or Preferred.

If Standard, you'll most likely be looking at the back side of the resort, looking at the BW inn side, or toward the pond between the villas and the parking lot.

If you got preferred view then you'll either get a boardwalk view or a pool view. (Most likely pool since there are more with that view than with boardwalk views)

Yes, DVC members do get free Valet parking, but a tip is still appropriate. There was a survey on tips awhile back here on the DIS, and I think the average came out to about $1.00 when leaving the car, and another $2.00 when picking it up.

As to floor, we always prefer top floor for a couple of reasons. 1. The view is generally better as you're above a lot of the vegetation, and 2. no heavy footed guests above you.

Have a great trip.
