Okw 11/01/07

Arrived today & got our room at 11:15 AM EST, could not beleive it. Bldg. 37 room 3723 100% OK. Hit off & on showers but made best of it. I am posting so everyone knows not all rooms at DVC are in bad condition. We must be lucky my wife & I visit about 6 times a year. We stay most of the time at BWV with BWview. We have stayed at all the resorts and have never run into the conditions I have read on the boards.

We go to OKW 2x per year (or more) and have never had ANY issues with room conditions!
We love OKW... rooms are huge and the resort has a very private feel.

Yep, another one who goes to OKW at least twice a year with no problems!

Glad to hear you are enjoying OKW. Just have to add that we've never experienced any problelms with our rooms either.

Just back from a short trip to OKW. We also had a great experience. Room 2424 (studio). Perfect condition. Arrived at 2 and got right in. The CMs were great. Trash and towel day went perfectly. Not a single complaint from us. Quite the contrary, we have become big OKW fans from this experience.

These threads that say honest positive things about DVC resorts should get as much notice as those that have negative things to report. DVC is not perfect, but when it goes right, it is great to see people mentioning that. Happy to bump this one up!

If most DVC members DID experience the problems we read about here, we would all probably be posting on the resorts board rather than here on the DVC board. In all of the "problem" threads, it is always pointed out that the fact that some DVC members have less than magical stays for whatever reason does not imply (and should not be inferred) that most will. Unfortunately, some still do and then we get the threads begging for reassurance that vacations at "XYZ" resort will not be horrible.

Problems do exist and it can be useful to see how others deal with them (just in case it ever happens to us). However there's no reason to think that DVC is crumbling down from neglect. Or on the other hand to expect that it is perfect either. Realistic expectations make for enjoyable and stress-free vacations.
