5 of us (4 adults and a 6 year old) are heading to DW Dec. 14-28. This is our 3rd trip. Normally 7 of us go for 1 week and stay at OKW, 2 bedroom.

Renting points, the cost of a 2 bedroom is a little over $9,500. A 1 bedroom is $7,000. The only reason I’m considering the 2nd bedroom is for that extra bathroom but I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra $2,500. What would you do?

Are two adults okay sleeping in the sameness oomph as the 6 year old?

Are either BLT or AKV Kidani options? They have an extra bath in the 1BR.

One way you could look at this, would be to break it down to the daily extra cost. Your trip is 15 days. That makes the extra cost for the two bedroom, $166 per day ($2500 \ 15 days), an extra $41.50 per adult. Then ask yourself if it would be worth it to have an extra bedroom and bathroom for an extra $41.50 per person or $83 for a couple.

For the length of time you are plannign to stay, I would go for the two bedroooms. WE travel often as extended family and while we are very comfortable sharing space, two weeks is a LONG time to be that close with one bathroom.

I'd definitely do the 2 bedrooms. Heck, we do 2 bedrooms for 4 of us. Having a separate bathroom is priceless.

In some 1-bedrooms at OKW there is only one entrance to the bathroom, from the master. It's based on the building number, the older buildings have 1 entrance, newer have two, as I understand it.

I would go with the two bedroom. Five people (four adults) in a one bedroom would get very small very quickly. I agree that the extra bathroom would be much appreciated. The added cost divided out over 15 days and by 4 adults seems nominal. Also, if I were paying that much for a room, I'd certainly want my own bedroom and not be relegated to a sleeper sofa. Additionally as a PP stated, some rooms have access to the bathroom only by going through the bedroom. I would be quite uncomfortable with people barging into my bedroom in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
