Okay - what's up with my computer?

Just got home and sat down to check my email. My desktop was all messed up - tiles were gone, only the titles were on my desktop. So, I re-booted. Well, now everything is back, but the tiles that are normally there are now that little box with the three little items in it - I don't know what it's called - hopefully somebody knows what I'm talking about. Even my start menu tiles are the same. Like, I don't have the "e" for Internet Explorer or the usual tile for Outlook Express, Recycle Bin, etc. Anyone know how to fix it?

Just taking a guess...

For Windows XP, right-click on your desktop, click on 'Arrange Icons by' and then make sure 'Show Desktop Icons' are selected.

Never mind - walked away for an hour - came back, and now they look fine :confused3

Oh, and yes, "show desktop icons" was selected. Don't know what was wrong. I fiddled with everything for about a half an hour before giving up.

Guess it was just one of those computer things! :)
