It looks beautiful too! I like the looks of Grande Vista AND Vistana Villages. Which would one would you recommend?

no offense to Sheraton lovers - but I think Marriott has a little extra - so Grande Vista.

remember get a rehab villa (they only give the new ones to their owners)

We've stayed at both and most recently MGV last week for our 2nd time.

If you are going with kids, I'd go for the MGV. There is more for them to do here (fishing, biking, sandy beach, toddler pool, pool side activities, camp fire night, movie night by the pool, an indoor play gym, etc.) This a very large resort. The new pool area is quite nice, but harder to keep sight of you're kids because of the shape of the pool and it's design.

The V.V. is more luxuriously decorated inside and smaller than MGV. Their lobby is gorgeous! This resort has a great pool with one side zero depth entry for toddlers with squirt fountains, there is a great play ground and most units where only a few minutes walk behind the buildings.

Both resorts are in a great location and only a few minutes from each other by car on the same side of I-Drive.

I've noticed that the V.V. has added more buildings.

I think you'd be happy at either place.

Hi Lorix2

I'm glad you enjoyed the MGV. As you may remember I am staying there in July. Do you have any tips for getting one of the rehab rooms?

Hi Mumof 2,

I don't have any tips, but would suggest that you request a recently renovated room in you're reservation. It isn't guaranteed, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

When I checked in, I hadn't made any requests. I asked for a top floor in the newer side, but they could only accommodate us (8 in our party) with 2 2BR villas side by side on the top floor, but in an older unit, but was told it had just been repainted, carpet replaced, etc.

It was wonderful. Impeccably clean and refreshed, so we were happy. It was building 100 "Mallorca" on the 6th floor. It was a short walk to the main area and about 10 minutes to the newer buildings and new pool.

We really enjoyed our time there. I hope you will too :)

We've stayed at Grande Vista and absolutely loved it. We had an older room both times, but it suited us just fine.

The grounds are beautiful and the offer some free activities for the kids.

Good luck with whatever you decide! :wave2:

Thanx Guys. Sounds like this should be fine. 6 weeks, 6 days and counting....
