Okay, we're just a little excited (less than 6 months out)

Over this weekend, my DW decided to do a countdown chain for our DD4 to help her understand when we are going to WDW. Only problem, we still have almost 6 months. Yup, 170+ links on the chain. Came out to be only a little more than 45 feet long.

We have part of it hanging on the wall, with the rest draped down into a basket and the end ring we will be removing daily hanging out of the basket.

Just thought I would share my funny for the day. It makes me smile every time I see that basket now and the "mickey head" for the final ring hanging on the wall.

I did one for our trip last week, with 81 links (black, red and white). Each link has stickers the kids can put on the countdown calendar (also starting on 81). DS6 is so excited about it - every morning it's the first thing he does. DD4 thinks it's neat, but isn't as into it as my 6yo. My 19mo old of course has no clue.

Anyway, it does make me smile too, and then I think 76 days is so long... at least I don't have as many to wait as you!!

We have about half the chain laying on the dining room table, the other half coiled in a basket on the table. And the calendar taped to the DR wall. It will be really cute when the calendar has all the Disney stickers on it.
