Okay, time to get back on track....I need a BIG kick in the #$@

Okay guys, I am back now...this is day one!
I was off of working out and eating poorly the week and a half I had my ankle sprain and then went on vacation for a week....I did manage to do my WATP 3x's on vacation, but still........I gained 2lbs (thought it was more but I weighed in today)....so, 2lbs is not so bad...but I feel crappy about it.....I feel like my "groove" has been thrown off...my morning motivation is non-existent......before all this happened I was up 5 days a week to workout...enjoying it! But this morning, DH had to force me out of bed and the 2mile, while I did finish it, wipped my butt!!!!

I need some help guys.....I need a push.....my friends from CA are coming here on June 26 (haven't seen them since before I started this) and I would love to lose about 5-6 more lbs.......
HELP!

Ooooh, goody. I'm in that kind of mood today. Me first, me first! ;)

You're back on track now. Don't worry about the past. You know that's against the WISH guidelines. You are a WISH <i>veteran</i>, I know you are aware of that rule :teeth: We can't change the past so we don't worry about it. Besides, you know darn well that if you could turn back the clock and try that vacation one more time, you wouldn't change a thing. You would still eat off plan foods. You sort of planned for that right?

I suppose the whole point to this is that it's no fair pouting about gaining when you planned to eat off plan foods in the first place ;)

I'm just glad that you are back here with us and focused again. You're back on the road to goal and you're going to do great.

Okay, I'm not much of a kicker--how about some motivational music, instead?

Welcome home, I sure hope you had a fantastic trip away. We had an awesome time in Germany and Austria.

I know I have been a bad DIS buddy, but I really have been staying away and just grazing in and out of WISH lately. It has been an intense couple of weeks, with a cancer scare for my mom, trips away and end of the school year commitments...I am just wiped out. And to top it all off since I started weight training I am at a weight stand-still. I gained a pound over vacation and lost it again, but I am still where I was 3-4 weeks ago, still coveting that 25# clippie that I need to lose one pound to obtain. And I am 3 weeks away from going to the US, but 5# away from the goal I set.

I guess I shouldn't be whinning, I just read your post about getting back to it and gaining 2#, I was really writing to give you support and here I am going on and on about me. I think what is important to learn about those two pounds is that you were on vacation and you were enjoying yourself. You recognize that you want to take those 2# off and you will because you are committed, it is just a temporary set back. My thinking is what fun would vacation be if you couldn't indulge a little....it is not like we indulge every day, so we may as well enjoy it while we are away. {{HUGS}} I know you will get back on track, you are simply that kind of person (at least that is my perception), you can do!!!!!

Thanks everyone! I just seem to be lacking the drive.....it is hard...I know I can do it...but it seems like more work now...oh well! I will fight it!

Okay Kamy - be careful what you wish for!! I am probably one of the closest WISHers to you and I'm so aggravated after driving on 94 on my way home that I'm about ready to kick someone :p

I know what you mean though about getting off track - I went to see my family for 6 days and this week has been killer trying to get back in the groove but just take it one day at a time and you'll be in sync again before you know it. You may want that extra sleep, it may sound sooooo good, but you just got to drag yourself up by your pj's, change into that workout gear and let Leslie wake you up!! You can do this - you know you can and we're all here to help you do it!!

OK Kamy, how about making up an Alex challenge for yourself? There's something about an Alex challenge that I've found to be really motivating.
Or, you can start thinking about that WDW mini-marathon! :teeth: That one's a sure fire motivator for me!

Okay Kamy - we haven't officially met ( I'm OhMom's mom) and just wanted to invite you to join Jimmytammy and I each morning -you see we treadmill almost every morning together. Yeah it's a few miles apart but bet we could see you if you would just join us, too! We will be expecting you - and you can do your tape if you want we will walk right beside you and give you a swift well uh kick - if we need too!!

Glad you are back and sounds like you have a mini-goal did you go sign up? I'm on my way there too (Anniet's thread) just keep getting side tracked.

Well, I made it through morning two.....I did my 2mile WATP again this morning before coming into work..........
Day by Day, pound by pound.....I can do this...especially with the help of my AWESOME WISH friends! Love you guys!

Well today I OVERSLEPT!!! UGH!! When I woke up for work I knew I had no time to do my usual 2mile WATP....but I managed to race downstairs and do the 1mile.....I figure it was better than nothing! I am proud of myself for doing something...

Thanks for all the butt kicking encouragement everyone.....only 3 weeks from today until my trip up north.....gotta get that 20lb clippie.... :)
