I have to go to a conference tomorrow, which is lasting through Saturday.

The conference is in Orlando...

but I will not be able to get to you know where.

This is just wrong. I can't even bring myself to pack. Driving all the way to Orlando and no WDW.

Please console me.

Your not allowed to go even on your personal time? (That's just criminal)

Or do you mean you won't have time to go? (That's pretty sad)

I would feel a cold coming on as soon as I checked into the hotel. :teeth:
It's the kind of cold that only cured by Tower of Terror. :thumbsup2

I guess I might feel ill and need some extra time there. Disneyitis, you know. I think you have a bad case, Aurora63.
I'd have Dr. DebinIowa write an excuse and get treatment. No apple a day...just a Mickey bar.

You'll have time if you fake spraining your ankle and wouldn't you know it, you just have to be laid up in your hotel room and can't make any of the meetings. :rolleyes1 Then sneak out to WDW during the day, just make sure you are back before any of the meetings are over and someone comes to check on you. :thumbsup2

Seriously, that sucks. Sorry. :(
Would you be able to make it to DTD and at least take in some shopping or a meal?? :confused3

Ok, consolation:

I'll trade you the crappy, cold weather of State College PA for the palm trees and warmer weather of Orlando.

Instead of being at your conference, you can sit in front of my computer, alone, and write papers that are 20+ pages long for however long the conference is. :rotfl: :thumbsup2

It's ok if you don't want to trade. I love learning what I'm learning and doing what I'm doing... I know Disney will be there when I finally get a break long enough to fly down. :wave2:

Enjoy your conference.

You dont sound so good. I mean you must be coming down with something. I say play hookey for one day! :teeth: Can you go at night after the conference?

Okay, great ideas everyone. I only wish they would work! It's just agony knowing you are so close yet so far away...a pass holder at that, it's not like I'd have to buy a ticket even!!

We're getting there late Thursday, conference is from 8am-4:15pm Friday and Saturday. We leave Saturday right after it is over. I am riding up w/ some friends. So, if I am to make it anywhere, it'll have to be Epcot on Friday night, or DTD...I'll have to do some convincing to see if anyone is game for it!!! OR rent a car and go on my own. I'll bring my pass just in case! Wish me luck!

I would be in agony!

Just try not to think of anything Disney. I'm sure that won't be too hard being in Orlando! ;)

Is there any way you can convince the others to arrive a little earlier on Thursday or stay over on Saturday night and spend Sunday at the parks?

I would be bummed too if I were going to a conference in Orlando and couldn't squeeze in a few hours at WDW.

If I were you I would try and make it work for Epcot or at least DTD for Friday night. Are you driving or flying? Any way you can change your flight if you are flying?

I may have to attend a 3 day training in Orlando (for me only a 3 hour drive north) and my supervisor told me specifically because its in Orlando (this was the day before my last trip which I thought was going to be my last trip to WDW for who knows how long) I think I can find a way to spend some time at the parks!! Hopefully I will be able to pick my own hotel - I will definately be picking POFQ.

But good luck and hopefully you can fit a little Disney in!!
