I don't like to post on here about anything other than the Podcast, but I have to share:

This morning I was driving Parker to school. We have XM and listen to the XMKids station. When you Wish Upon A Star, is on. New, pop version.

Then my Mickey Moms Packet arrives in the mail, old fashioned Cliff Edwards version comes on DisRadio at my desk. Begin BAWLING!

Now I am on the phone making ADRs for our upcoming trip and guess what starts playing while I am on hold... "When You Wish Upon A Star" Cliff Edwards and the Disney Chorus.

It's a SIGN, though a Sign of What?!?!?! I am not sure!

OOOOh! Out of breath, just ran to the mailbox after I heard that you guys got your packet. Darn wind must have knocked down my mailbox flag, cuz apparently the mailman hasn't really been here yet. I sure hope that I get mine today! I saved the logo though - plan to go buy some iron-on transfers and make me a special tshirt before my trip in a few weeks.

ps - Yeah, OP, you should definitely wish upon a star today!

I got my packet today and I was REALLY surprised because I didn't even know they were sending them! My mailman brought it right to my door and I was like "What is this?" It was a VERY nice surprise!

When Disney did the whole Mom's Panel thing, some of the folks that didn't make it through to the 2nd round were sent emails saying that even though we weren't chosen for the Mom's Panel, they'd still like to keep in touch with us. The club was named the Mickey Moms Club and members are getting swag in the mail.

What is the Mom's Packet?

I just got mine today and I was completely suprised. It had a sheet of stickers with the faces of different characters,mouse pad with the moms club panel logo, a car magnet with the same logo, the pixie dust pins (2) the kind you keep and give another one to another guest, some information packet, and the DVD. I had just finished making our ADR's when I heard the knock at the door I was ecstatic! I have even changed my ringback tones to have When you wish upon a star!"

What she said! We're all the losers who got nowheresville when we sent in the essays for the Mom's Panel. Disney thought that they would still spread some goodwill and keep in touch with us because they wanted all of us to be happy mom planners. Can you imagine if they completely "Dis-sed" us outright? We'd be a tough bunch to deal with when angry!!!

Oh, and to bring this back to importance on the podcast forum.....don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to be getting my packet, hopefully today, but maybe Disney shouldn't have spent so much money on our Mickey Mom's Panel stuff and then they wouldn't have to raise the prices so OBSCENELY on those darn park strollers, hmm?
