How many people have plans already in place for the Holiday? Anyone doing the cooking this year??? Dinning out??? Every year we usually don't know until the last minute what are Thanksgiving plans are going to be. We originally planned dinner out due to the large number of people but I think my mom is going to be doing the cooking. Wish I had a bigger place, so they could all come to my place, but someday ;) I like to entertain :)

So What are you doing?????

We're actually having Turkey Day the day after Thanksgiving.:) Normally we have it on Thanksgiving, but this year we're doing it a bit different.:) We're going to my mom's (as usual). I'm bringing a couple of casseroles, the deviled eggs, and most of the desserts.

I think it will be years before I ever have to cook. We're expected somewhere else every year. This year, we will be here or go to Alabama.

We go to my brother's house every Thanksgiving,(we all have our set holidays, mine is Xmas Eve) . . . At Thanksgiving, everyone is expected to bring the same dish every year . . .for me, my speciality dish is Green Bean Casserole . . .my dad makes all the pies (pumpkin, apple) his pies are the best! Hopefully he'll remember to add the sugar in the pumpkin pie this year . . .last year's pie was totally uneatable!

I am doing the cooking. But I ordered a smoked turkey from the church my DS works at. It is hot and we go and pick it up Thanksgiving morning. I fix for DD and son in law, DS and his fiancee, my in laws, and then DH and me. I do all of the cooking. My dad and step mother have Thanksgiving with her family in Alabama.

We usually go to my parents' home in Texas for Thanksgiving. Mom makes turkey & ham, along with more side dishes than we have counterspace for! Seems like we spend from Thursday to Sunday evening eating. This year, though, DH, DD & I will be celebrating the holiday at Chef Mickey's. It'll be strange not being with my parents & sister, but we're so looking forward to our trip to the World! :teeth:

Usually we do something with our family but this year most of my family will be visiting others in Arizona. So this year we won't be doing anything but staying at home and watching me pack for my trip that weekend :)

I usually do the cooking, but this year...well, we're not sure if our son will be here or not.

I'm leaving for DISCON the Saturday after Thanksgiving so I'm thinking I need to find a place for us to eat out. I don't need all kinds of left overs that we always have.

I too am leaving that Saturday for Florida, stopping by my Dad's first. I'm going over to friends for Thanksgiving.

I'm going to Connecticut like I do every year. Most of my mom's family lives up there, so we all get together up there for Thanksgiving. We always leave early Thursday morning and come home Friday night. Then a few days after that is....Disney World :teeth:

I will be up at about 4 a.m. to get the turkey in the oven. I'm having 21 people this year. My brother and his family were supposed to go to his wife's family's house this year, but his wife said she'd rather come to my house.....guess I 'm a better cook than her mother!

We are celebrating with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before. On Thanksgiving day we are headed for Germany and my mini-meet with Poohshoney! (Only 12 days and counting, Carol!)

:bounce::wave::bounce:

I'm hosting, with 25 - 30 total people. My brother & his family from Louisiana are coming and sending a smoked ham. I'll be up by 7 AM to put a 21-lb turkey in the oven. (thank heavens for the Reynolds cookin' bag!) Already reserved the extra tables & chairs. My family is great about bringing the side dishes. We celebrate 2 birthdays every T'Giving. So there is always bday cake along with the pumpkin pies & chocolate cream pies.

This year, my children will be with their father and Don's children with their mother. His parents live up North, my mom lives in Mexico, and my father will be at my brother's in Arkansas, so Don and I are whipping up a gourmet meal for two on Thanksgiving. :)

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year for the three of us, my father, and his girlfriend. I hate hectic holidays, so this is perfect.

I haven't given much thought to the menu as of yet...it will be mostly traditional, but I'm not sure which vegetables I want to prepare.

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving here at our house with either 11 or 17 people, depending on whether BIL's family come or not.
We always traded Thanksgiving - one year with DH's family and one year with mine. But 3 year's ago when it was DH's family time, my FIL was scheduled for heart bypass surgery and to take the pressure off of him I suggested that we have Thanksgiving here at our house.
Last year, it was my family's turn, but since our DD's are home from school and to try to make a little less travel for us (my parent's are 100 miles away), I suggested that we have Thanksgiving here. And since we were going to be in town (Bill's parents live about 25 miles away), I invited the in-laws too.
THIS year, well for WHATEVER reason, I invited everyone HERE again. :) We DO have the roomiest house of all of Bill's family. So I guess it makes sense. (Guess that is why we have Christmas Eve here every year too. ;) )
I do get a good amount of help. My mom is doing the cranberry relish and pumpkin rolls, and some other desserts.
The in-law will probably buy the turkey and stuffing things. (I will make it here though.)
I will do the mashed and sweet potatoes and vegetables and rolls.
I am KIND of looking forward to this. I LOVE having my parents here. But it will depend on whether BIL's family comes or not. I will NOT say what will make me happier.
 ;)

having a bon voyage drink with my neighbor imgoingtodisney before she leaves for her MAGICal cruise that day!
then cooking for my parents - hopefully I'll be sober when she leaves (she says no way)

DH, DD and I will do to my stepson and DILs house to have dinner with them and our grandbaby :), DIL's parents and a couple of friends will be there too. I will be bringing the pre-dinner snack foods, and a pie.

We are breaking tradition to take a vacation to NYC.
Dh, me, and the two girls will be standing on Broadway watching the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade!!!
I'll probably make a T-Day dinner when I get back.
